About Me, U, and I
I know what you're thinking. "U and I?" And yes, it's true. We named our cats U and I. Or if you don't want to sound funny, you can always just call them U-kitty and I-kitty. :)
Ever since I was able to talk, I remember my parents had 2 other cats, O-J and Q. They had quite the theme started with single or double letter names for our kitties! O-J earned his name because of his fur color, as it reminded us all of orange juice. Q simply got his name after a Star Trek character, as my parents LOVE the shows and movies! XD
So, to continue the theme after they passed, we named our newest members of the family U and I. Q is always followed by U, so it made sense for the first one to follow Q to be U! And I came along after U so we'd have U and I. Anyway, enough playing with words and explaining all about my cats, they've had their moment of fame for now.
So! You're probably also wondering why I have so many different pseudonyms or aliases.... well... to be honest, I have no idea! XD If you're wondering where to find me around however, it's pretty straightforward as long as you remember each of my different names!
On YouTube, I can be found as Scarlet Fury.
On Steam, I can be found as LucasClanCat (Followed by whatever Clan I feel like being in at the moment, as I'm a HUGE fan of the book series by Erin Hunter - Warriors!)
On Minecraft, you can find me as Scarlet__Fury
And in real life, I'm simply Lucas Bruno. I'm 26. And definitely NOT your average guy! I mean, sure, I do things most people love to do. But the difference is I love to be PASSIONATE, and pour my entire BEING into them! The end result is usually what most would consider extreme, crazy, random, or utterly over-the-top. For instance, my first YouTube video sensation. That 3-story K'nex Roller Coaster that traveled from my room to the basement and back? I built that when I was about 13. Most parents wouldn't be too THRILLED about a giant coaster taking over their house, but you know, my parents are also quite creative, AND they both happen to be engineers! So that's where I get my flares.
I too, hope to be an engineer! I just don't want to be one that sits around drawing blueprints all day. I wanna get in on the action! Help the crews assemble what I create! And, in particular, build an entire THEME PARK someday!
I also discovered the gift and power of music at around age 10. I had taken piano lessons from the age of 4, never really committing myself to learn things in a way that sounded expressive. But one recital, as soon as I had learned one piece well enough that I was able to add in dynamics and contrast and flow with the mood of it, that changed me. From that point on I continuously worked to improve my craft, honing in my listening, sight-reading and playing skills. Now, I hope to be a professional percussionist in an orchestra and along the way, I have had breathtaking experiences travelling the world with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony! Places like Plovdiv in Bulgaria, Istanbul in Turkey and Tokyo in Japan.
In addition to my love of performing music and passionately portraying myself through other people's musical works, I found I had a desire to WRITE my own music! Thus, since the age of 10 I've been honing my composition skills to write masterpieces. A few of these are posted on my YouTube channel, and I may add more as time goes on. But you know... the quality of a computerized recording can only sound so good... it can never have the nuances of a fully human orchestra! All that expressiveness, emotion, PASSION! So someday, I long for them to be performed. To hear them played by real people who have a connection to the moods I try to portray in my music! So, I probably won't upload all of them. At least not until I have recordings of ensembles playing them!
And of course, video games. My channel will include a lot of playthroughs, adventures, derp-ing around and creative concoctions on whatever games I can feel I can truly connect with. Quite honestly though, this is a somewhat limited category. Games have to have thought put into them. Lots of thought. I am just not very fond of your typical, shoot em' up first-person war game. Unless it has a real unique story-line and epic music, and doesn't disturb me with the overdone detail on gore, or cussing or such, I don't typically enjoy them. That' why you'll mainly see me play games where creativity is key. Games like Portal/Portal 2, Minecraft, Robocraft and RollerCoasterTycoon 1, 2, and 3. (And certainly 5 when they release it!) I mean, sure, to have fun blowing stuff up or such with friends, I'll play and upload occasional things like Team Fortress 2 or something. But I'm sorry to say that will not likely be my MAIN game.
Well.... I think that pretty much covers all the general, and somewhat specific areas of projects and things I'll be posting/updating/uploading/showing off here. There's just so many possibilities!!!!!!! XD :D
Please feel free to comment, rate, and suggest things on here and my channel, I'm always looking for ways to make this all better, funner, and more wonderful for everyone! Also, when I post a poll on here, that'll be a perfect way for me to find out your input and ideas! And if you like what I do, feel free to subscribe, add me to your Google+ circles, or follow me on the web in various places!
Anyway, I better go off to work on some of those things I mentioned! Stay tuned and see you soon in another epic video, blog post, update or game! XD :)
And THANK YOU FOR READING!
P.S. I also hope that all that I do inspires, uplifts, and gives others hope, creativity, ideas and possibilities in this world that is often unfortunately focused on the opposite! In particular, I give credit to my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, and hope to use these gifts and talents to better the world for him, through him. :)
